It was an honor to be selected to participate in the IFLA ARL “Hot Topics” Webinar on Current & Future Literacies. We’ve been evaluating the CLOCKSS archival collection through a DEI lens, and discovered that while we are strong in most subject areas there is room for improvement in the preservation of regional publications from Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, and Latin America and also in preserving the perspectives of black and Hispanic, indigenous, and LGBTQ+ communities. The first step to strengthen our practice was to partner with library colleagues at Howard University. The video recording is now available below.
