The CLOCKSS Archive is pleased to announce that it has partnered with BraDypUS Books to preserve their ejournals and ebooks in CLOCKSS’s geographically and geopolitically distributed network of redundant archive nodes, located at 12 major research libraries around the world. This action provides for content to be freely available to everyone after a “trigger event” and ensures an author’s work will be maximally accessible and useful over time.
BraDypUS Books Directors Julian Bogdani and Erika Vecchietti: “We are very proud to become members of the CLOCKSS community primarily because, as archaeologists, we pay a very careful attention to the conservation of the scientific, academic and cultural heritage. Each of us, especially the publishers, should aim at having a time capsule through which to deliver the next generations all the possible aspects of knowledge of our civilization. Secondarily, becoming part of the CLOCKSS community means that we are now able to grant our authors a powerful means of preservation of all their academic production, which is a significant improvement of professionality for our company”.
CLOCKSS Executive Director Randy S. Kiefer adds, “The CLOCKSS Archive welcomes BraDypUS’s ejournals and ebooks into the community’s archive. By archiving with CLOCKSS, BraDypUS has ensured that the scholarship in their publications will be available for a worldwide audience now and in the future.”
