The CLOCKSS Archive is pleased to announce that the Canadian Young Scientist Journal is participating in the archive to preserve their ejournal in CLOCKSS’s geographically and geopolitically distributed network of redundant archive nodes, located at 12 major research libraries around the world. This action provides for content to be freely available to everyone after a “trigger event” and ensures an author’s work will be maximally accessible and useful over time.
“The CYS Journal enrollment”, says its Editor-in-Chief Dr. Sacha Noukhovitch, “helps to secure the initial academic record of a new research and investigative talent from around the world. It allows tracing back the origins of innovative ideas and personalities of scientists. We believe that our Journal will be a useful addition to the CLOCKSS community of scholarly publications providing a link to a new generation of future scientists.”
CLOCKSS Executive Director Randy S. Kiefer adds, “The CLOCKSS Archive welcomes the Canadian Young Scientist Journal with their coverage of science and engineering, into the community’s archive. By archiving with CLOCKSS, the Canadian Young Scientist Journal has ensured that the original research and commentary in their publication will remain available to all, now and in the future. We are grateful, as the Canadian Young Scientist Journal joins the CLOCKSS Archive, for its generous willingness to preserve its ejournals in a way that secures them for the long-term good of scholars worldwide.”
