Inderscience Publishers Preserves with the CLOCKSS Archive

The CLOCKSS Archives is pleased to announce that it has partnered with Inderscience Publishers to preserve their eJournals and eBooks in CLOCKSS’s geographically and geopolitically distributed network of redundant archive nodes, located at 12 major research libraries around the world. By archiving with CLOCKSS, Inderscience has committed to the preservation of their eJournals and eBooks. This action provides for content to be freely available to everyone after a “trigger event” and ensures an author’s work will be maximally accessible and useful over time.

“Inderscience recognizes that institutions are looking for assurances of permanent access to online content independent of publisher provided access they have purchased” said Dr Dorgham, President. “We recognize that librarians build collections today but must ensure the future availability of today’s intellectual, cultural and historical content. Inderscience’s decision to partner with CLOCKSS ensures that libraries will have a true preservation solution and permanent access to Inderscience digital collections.”

CLOCKSS Executive Director Randy S. Kiefer adds, “The CLOCKSS Archive welcomes Inderscience Publishers’ e-Journals and e-Books into the community’s archive. Inderscience is doing important work mapping new frontiers in emerging technologies, research, industry and governance. These journals complement the wide variety of topics preserved by other publishers. CLOCKSS has achieved a rare consensus among libraries and publishers, and we are grateful as Inderscience joins the CLOCKSS Archive for its generous willingness to preserve its eJournals and eBooks in a way that secures them for the long-term good of scholars worldwide.”
