Mathematical Sciences Publishers Preserves with the CLOCKSS Archive

The CLOCKSS Archive is pleased to announce that it has partnered with Mathematical Sciences Publishers to preserve their ejournals and ebooks in CLOCKSS’s geographically and geopolitically distributed network of redundant archive nodes, located at 12 major research libraries around the world. By archiving with CLOCKSS, Mathematical Sciences Publishers has committed to the preservation of their ejournals and ebooks. This action provides for content to be freely available to everyone after a “trigger event” and ensures an author’s work will be maximally accessible and useful over time.

“We are pleased to take advantage of this opportunity for long-term preservation. Our authors deserve to have their original research, including its published form, last longer than any single company or journal,” said Alexandru Scorpan. “At MSP, we do our best to make top-notch research available at a reasonable cost; our joining CLOCKSS is our effort to make sure it remains available long into the future.”

CLOCKSS Executive Director Randy S. Kiefer adds, “The CLOCKSS Archive welcomes Mathematical Sciences Publishers’ ejournals and ebooks, with their coverage of scientific and research literature, into the community’s archive. By archiving with CLOCKSS, Mathematical Sciences Publishers has ensured the long-term preservation of their publications. We are grateful, as Mathematical Sciences Publishers joins the CLOCKSS Archive, for its generous willingness to preserve its ejournals in a way that secures them for the long-term good of scholars worldwide.”
