Southeastern Surgical Congress Preserves with the CLOCKSS Archive

The CLOCKSS Archive is pleased to announce that it has partnered with the Southeastern Surgical Congress (SESC) to preserve their ejournal, American Surgeon Journal in CLOCKSS’s geographically and geopolitically distributed network of redundant archive nodes, located at 12 major research libraries around the world. This action provides for content to be freely available to everyone after a “trigger event” and ensures an author’s work will be maximally accessible and useful over time.

CLOCKSS Executive Director Randy S. Kiefer adds, “The CLOCKSS Archive welcomes the Southeastern Surgical Congress’ ejournal with coverage of up to date clinical advances in surgical knowledge into the community’s archive. By archiving with CLOCKSS, SESC has ensured that the scholarship in their publications will be secured for future generations of scholars. We are grateful, as the Southeastern Surgical Congress joins the CLOCKSS Archive, for its generous willingness to preserve its ejournals in a way that secures them for the long-term good of scholars worldwide.”

About the Southeastern Surgical Congress: SESC was founded to provide opportunities for surgeons and surgeons in training to come together for educational, scientific, and social purposes to promote and advance the study and practice of surgery. http://www.sesc.org.
