Wageningen Academic Publishers Preserves with the CLOCKSS Archive

The CLOCKSS Archive is pleased to announce that it has partnered with Wageningen Academic Publishers to preserve their ejournals and ebooks in CLOCKSS’s geographically and geopolitically distributed network of redundant archive nodes, located at 12 major research libraries around the world. This action provides for content to be freely available to everyone after a “trigger event” and ensures an author’s work will be maximally accessible and useful over time.

“We’re pleased to partner with CLOCKSS to ensure the long-term preservation of our e-book and e-journal content,” said Mike Jacobs, Managing Director of Wageningen Academic Publishers. “After the launch of our own platform for e-publications, we were looking for a long-term solution to preserve our content for the benefit of our customers. CLOCKSS has provided this solution. With this trusted partner we can now ensure that the valuable, high quality work of our authors remains accessible to all users in perpetuity.”

CLOCKSS Executive Director Randy S. Kiefer adds, “By archiving with CLOCKSS Wageningen Academic Publishers has ensured that the scholarship in their publications in the field of Life Sciences will be available for a worldwide audience now and in the future in a manner that secures them for the long-term good of scholars.”
