The CLOCKSS Archive is pleased to announce that it has partnered with Whiting & Birch to preserve their ejournals and ebooks in CLOCKSS’s geographically and geopolitically distributed network of redundant archive nodes, located at 12 major research libraries around the world. By archiving with CLOCKSS, Whiting & Birch has committed to the preservation of their ejournals and ebooks. This action provides for content to be freely available to everyone after a “trigger event” and ensures an author’s work will be maximally accessible and useful over time.
CLOCKSS Executive Director Randy S. Kiefer commented, “The CLOCKSS Archive welcomes Whiting & Birch’s ejournals and ebooks into the community’s archive. By archiving with CLOCKSS, Whiting & Birch has ensured that the social science and human services scholarship in their publications will be available for a worldwide audience now and in the future. We are grateful, as Whiting & Birch joins the CLOCKSS Archive, for its generous willingness to preserve its ejournals in a way that secures them for the long-term good of scholars worldwide.”
