The CLOCKSS Archive is pleased to announce that it has partnered with the American Diabetes Association to preserve their ejournals in CLOCKSS’s geographically and geopolitically distributed network of redundant archive nodes, located at 12 major research libraries around the world. This action provides for content to be freely available to everyone after a “trigger event” and ensures an author’s work will be maximally accessible and useful over time.
“The American Diabetes Association is happy to partner with the CLOCKSS Archive to ensure the long-term preservation of its scholarly journal content,” said Chris Kohler, Managing Director of Scholarly Journal Publishing. “Participating in CLOCKSS will ensure that contributions made by our authors, editors, and reviewers will be available for future diabetes researchers, educators, and care givers.”
CLOCKSS Executive Director Randy S. Kiefer adds, “The CLOCKSS Archive welcomes the American Diabetes Association’s ejournals, the most highly ranked journals devoted exclusively to diabetes research, treatment, and education. We are grateful, as the American Diabetes Association joins the CLOCKSS Archive, for its generous willingness to preserve its ejournals in a way that secures them for the long-term good of scholars worldwide.”
