The CLOCKSS Archive is pleased to announce that it has partnered with Hindawi Publishing Corporation to preserve their ejournals and ebooks in CLOCKSS’s geographically and geopolitically distributed network of redundant archive nodes, located at 12 major research libraries around the world. This action provides for content to be freely available to everyone after a “trigger event” and ensures an author’s work will be maximally accessible and useful over time.
“We are very pleased to be working with CLOCKSS in order to ensure the long term preservation of our journal content,” said Paul Peters, Hindawi’s Chief Strategy Officer. “We strongly believe that it is important for publishers to have multiple arrangements in place to ensure the long term availability of the content that they publish, and CLOCKSS provides an excellent service for helping publishers to achieve this.
CLOCKSS Executive Director Randy S. Kiefer adds, “CLOCKSS is pleased to expand its global coverage to yet another country – Egypt. By archiving with CLOCKSS, Hindawi has ensured that the scholarship in their publications will be available for a worldwide audience now and in the future in a manner that secures them for the long-term good of scholars.”
