The CLOCKSS Archive is pleased to announce that it has partnered with the Philosophy Documentation Center to preserve their ejournals and ebooks in CLOCKSS’s geographically and geopolitically distributed network of redundant archive nodes, located at 12 major research libraries around the world. This action ensures that published work from thousands of authors will be continually accessible and preserved over time.
PDC’s Director, Dr. George Leaman, welcomes the long-term security provided by cooperation with CLOCKSS. “It is very important to us that our electronic publications be preserved in a reliable manner. We welcome our cooperation with CLOCKSS as part of this effort.”
CLOCKSS Executive Director Randy S. Kiefer adds, “The CLOCKSS Archive welcomes the Philosophy Documentation Center’s ejournals and ebooks in applied ethics, philosophy, religious studies, and related fields into the community’s archive. By archiving with CLOCKSS, the Philosophy Documentation Center has ensured that the scholarship in their publications is secured for future generations. We are grateful, as the Philosophy Documentation Center joins the CLOCKSS Archive, for its generous willingness to preserve this important collection of ejournals and ebooks in a way that secures them for the long-term benefit of scholars worldwide.”
