The CLOCKSS Archive is pleased to announce that it has partnered with Practical Action Publishing to preserve their ejournals and ebooks in CLOCKSS’s geographically and geopolitically distributed network of redundant archive nodes, located at 12 major research libraries around the world. This action provides for content to be freely available to everyone after a “trigger event” and ensures an author’s work will be maximally accessible and useful over time.
“Practical Action Publishing is pleased to be partnering with CLOCKSS to ensure the long-term preservation of our online journal and book content” says Toby Milner, Managing Director, Practical Action Publishing. “Should the worst happen, via this partnership, we have ensured the continued availability of our publications, both now and in the future, to help build the skills and capabilities of researchers and practitioners in developing countries through the dissemination of knowledge.”
CLOCKSS Executive Director Randy S. Kiefer adds, “The CLOCKSS Archive welcomes Practical Action Publishing’s ejournals and ebooks with their coverage of subject matter, into the community’s archive. By archiving with CLOCKSS, Practical Action Publishing has ensured that the scholarship in their publications is secured for future generations of scholars.”
