Librello Publishing House Preserves with the CLOCKSS Archive

The CLOCKSS Archive is pleased to announce that it has partnered with Librello Publishing House to preserve their ejournals in CLOCKSS’s geographically and geopolitically distributed network of redundant archive nodes, located at 12 major research libraries around the world. This action provides for content to be freely available to everyone after a “trigger event” and ensures an author’s work will be maximally accessible and useful over time.

“Librello Publishing House has created an innovative publishing enterprise. Librello’s novel model works on a membership basis to decouple the payment from the publication” said Dr. José Monteiro, President. “On one side, Librello can afford a stringent peer-review with no economic pressure, and the authors also profit from the business model by being able to submit multiple manuscripts by a single annual fee. Librello is seriously committed to ethics in scientific publication via open access. It is with great pleasure that we associate ourselves with CLOCKSS and together with the remaining partners guarantee a lifetime access to all Librello publications. CLOCKSS is a very significant initiative that we are most happy to endorse.”

CLOCKSS Executive Director Randy S. Kiefer adds, “The CLOCKSS Archive welcomes Librello’s open-access ejournals into the community’s archive. By archiving with CLOCKSS, the Librello Publishing House has ensured that the scholarship in their publications will be available for a worldwide audience now and in the future in a manner that secures them for the long-term good of scholars.”
